Description
We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Warehouse to manage large, technologically enhanced high-end warehouse operations.
As an Assistant Manager - Warehouse at Swiggy Instamart, you will be responsible for driving SOP and KPI for warehousing operations, managing warehouse efficiencies and SLA management, distribution, planning and managing reverse logistics, and identifying root causes of inventory deviation.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage large, big box technologically enhanced high-end warehouse operations
- Drive SOP and KPI for warehousing operations and benchmark them
- Work closely with all functions to achieve overall business goals
- Manage warehouse efficiencies and SLA management
- Oversee distribution and mid-mile logistics
- Plan and manage reverse logistics
- Identify root causes of inventory deviation through cause-and-effect analysis
- Drive productivity and improve cost efficiency
- Implement FEFO and FIFO management
- Coordinate with the Dark Store operations team for smooth material movement
- Conduct warehouse stock audits and reduce shrink
- Engage with various teams to streamline processes and operations
- Create an annual calendar for peak seasons and plan operations accordingly
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in establishing and managing multiple and large, big box technologically enhanced high-end warehouse and logistic operations
- Experience in F&V will be an added advantage
- Effective analytical, communication, and Excel skills are a must
- Ability to work as a team player in a target-driven work environment
- Ability to work with 3PL partners
- Experience managing a large team
- Ability to think consumer-first and create innovative solutions for their needs
- Experience in managing warehousing planning, distribution, and logistic operations of leading organizations
- Ability to forecast and determine productivity requirements
- Drive process improvements and keep pace with exponential growth while motivating others
- Ability to develop systems, processes, and infrastructure related to warehouse and logistics
- Implemented lean process and innovative technology solutions to improve automation and productivity
