Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

As a Senior Revenue Manager at Freshworks, you will keep the revenue close accurate and on time while partnering with finance, systems, and business leaders on long-running process and systems transformation programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the revenue close process and serve as second reviewer on revenue reconciliations and disclosures
• Identify items that need technical accounting input and escalate them to the technical accounting team
• Maintain a materiality and escalation framework that defines which items stop at first review, which require second review, and which require final review
• Work with finance, IT, Billing, Sales Ops, and Data leaders on multi-quarter revenue transformation programs
• Represent revenue accounting and the close in design discussions, providing input on requirements, process flows, and impacts on review and controls
• Help drive adoption and change management across the US and India teams
• Partner with the India managers to set review standards, checklists, and escalation thresholds
• Coordinate with FP&A on revenue forecasting and budget-to-actual variance explanations
• Own execution and documentation of revenue-related close controls
• Mentor and develop revenue accountants and analysts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
• 8+ years of progressive revenue accounting or revenue operations experience
• Experience contributing to multi-quarter system implementations and process transformation projects
• Working knowledge of AI and automation as applied to finance and accounting
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across finance, IT, and business teams
• Familiarity with SOX controls and working with auditors
