Description
We're looking for a Night Manager to join our team at Asda in Lower Earley. As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading the night team to ensure the store runs smoothly while the rest of the world sleeps. You will be solely responsible for the store during the night and will need to be confident in overseeing operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor during the night shift
- Leading and coaching night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shopfloor standards
- Ensuring the shopfloor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team
- Listening with empathy, driving resilience, and encouraging ownership and passion for the business
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight
- Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people
- Confidence in developing teams and managing change
- Strong customer service focus
- Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends
