We're seeking a talented Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Morristown, TN Cummins location.
In this role, you will make an impact by driving stronger cross-functional alignment, tailoring technical and operational messages to diverse groups, modeling proactive safety behaviors, recognizing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic risks, interpreting product and equipment drawings, influencing capital decisions, identifying waste, and applying controls hardware and software expertise.
To be successful in this role, you will need comprehensive maintenance expertise, advanced diagnostic and RCA capability, precision mechanical and calibration skills, and strong adherence to safety, systems, and leadership capability.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive cross-functional alignment with engineering, operations, and safety teams
- Communicate technical and operational messages to diverse groups
- Model proactive safety behaviors and identify risks early
- Recognize electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic risks and integrate safe practices
- Interpret product and equipment drawings to design manufacturing processes
- Influence capital decisions by selecting equipment that meets technical requirements
- Identify waste and implement improvement methodologies
- Apply controls hardware and software expertise to ensure seamless integration
Requirements:
- College, university, or equivalent degree required
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required
- Comprehensive maintenance expertise across forging, CNC machining, and heat-treat systems
- Advanced diagnostic and RCA capability
- Precision mechanical and calibration skills
- Strong adherence to safety, systems, and leadership capability
