Team Manager - ML Data Associates

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead a team of 20-25 ML Data Associates, focusing on speech and language solutions for Amazon Devices, including Ring and Alexa-enabled products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 20-25 ML Data Associates
• Execute plans for team tasks related to multiple ML workflows
• Ensure ML data workflows are quality compliant and analyze metrics
• Identify risks and ensure escalations reach the right people
• Work with internal/external teams to execute business goals
• Use data to set operational goals and manage activities
• Manage escalations, complex tickets, and present data in business meetings
• Design and implement process improvement projects
• Coach direct reports on leadership principles and assign challenging work
• Provide team guidance on work types and prioritization
• Devises and implements performance improvement plans for associates
• Performance manage team based on metrics and deliverables

A Day in the Life: As a Team Manager, you will lead the annotations effort in India, partner with the Operations Manager, and become an expert in annotation processes. You will train and support the team, maintain accuracy and throughput standards, and connect with stakeholders to understand key annotation requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• BE, BSC, BTech, MTech, MSc in IT, ECE, Electrical Electronic Engineering
• 5-7 years of industry experience, with at least 1-2 years in team lead/people management
• Familiarity with Windows desktop environment and Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
