As a Product Development Engineer - Frames & Structures, you will design, develop, and validate structural components for passenger trucks and vehicles. You will be an innovative problem solver with the ability to manage complex systems and components, design for efficiency, and validate using engineering tools and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Release Engineering for Frame, Mounts, Spare Tire Winches, and/or Tow Hooks, responsible for forward model development, release, and through launch.
  • Apply engineering disciplines including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Perfect Drawing Plan, and Engineering Specifications to deliver robust designs and avoid failure modes.
  • Provide design leadership to meet vehicle attributes including package, crash, durability, commercial upfitting, and thermal management.
  • Lead, review, and approve Frame Structure designs to ensure delivery to component ES and vehicle requirements.
  • Resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues.
  • Coach, technical mentor, and guide peer engineers through Technical Club forums.
  • Deliver focused Material Cost Reduction, Warranty reduction, and benchmarking.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in frames or structures Design and Release.
  • CAD capable (CATIA, 3DX).
  • BS Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead a team and work with cross-functional groups.

Salary

The potential salary range for this position is $65,100 - $166,200.
