Description
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. This will involve conducting examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards
- Documenting client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establishing therapeutic plans
- Educating clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home
- Demonstrating knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents
- Exhibiting flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments
- Participating in activities to promote the department and Sanford Health
- Interacting with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, and third-party payers
- Supervising assistants, aides, and students as needed
- Providing ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise
Requirements:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
We offer a competitive salary range of $37.50 - $62.00 per hour, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus (eligibility requirements apply).
