Description
Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Database Administration Senior Advisor for their Austin, TX location to provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Database Administration & Management matters.
Responsibilities:
- Develop complex database systems for the organization.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to determine requirements.
- Analyze, design, create, and implement complex databases, including access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization, and security.
- Interpret internal or external issues and recommend solutions and best practices.
- Design complex data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries, and schemas.
- Liaise with database software vendors and external technical support on issues such as software upgrades, problems, and potential solutions.
- Review systems under development and related documentation.
- Participate in vendor selection and relationship management.
- Lead project teams, monitoring project schedules and costs.
- Provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in a database administration role, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
- Experience with: SolarWinds Orion, AWS, Oracle, PostgreSQL, database performance tuning, data replication tools, Splunk, Dynatrace, service metrics dashboard creation, product lifecycle management, product upgrades, troubleshooting data mismatch issues, hybrid cloud environment management, creating solutions using Generative AI (Gen AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), network encryption setup, and security compliance.
