As a Supervisor on the facilities operations team, you will help design, build, activate, and maintain some of the world's most technically advanced facilities. You will operate autonomously to solve complex problems, manage multiple projects, and work in a dynamic environment. This role directly impacts the foundation of the Southaven and Memphis sites, ensuring low facility maintenance costs, efficient vendors, and an enhanced image for customers and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and repair of campus-wide systems including mechanical/HVAC, electrical, compressed air, dust collectors, and plumbing tasks.
- Direct a team of plumbing, compressed air, electrical, and HVAC-focused facility technicians.
- Schedule daily work and prioritize assignments.
- Develop, plan, and execute site improvement projects aligning with business objectives.
- Understand and enforce all safety procedures, reporting unsafe acts and conditions.
- Maintain records for all trades as required.
- Understand mechanical equipment such as chilled water systems, boilers, VFDs, pumps, PLC's, condensers, and air compressors.
- Communicate daily activities, projects, team morale, and issues to the Manager.
- Manage vendor/contractor finances and work with buyers and accounts payable.
- Oversee the team, driving performance and effectiveness through coaching and development.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities management.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of building management and automated facilities monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience managing budgets and third-party vendors.
- Experience negotiating contracts and comparing service costs.
- Experience with asset management software.
- High attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate needs and develop innovative solutions.
