Description
Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Artist (DCC Tools) to join the EA SPORTS Technology team in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The successful candidate will work onsite at EA Vancouver (Burnaby office) for 3 days a week, Tuesday to Thursday.
EA SPORTS is a leading sports entertainment brand that creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sport through industry-leading sports video games, including Madden NFL and College Football, FC soccer, NHL hockey, and EA SPORTS UFC.
The Technical Artist (TA) develops pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations used by content creators across all of EA SPORTS. The TA partners with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions, focusing on content production tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations for content creators
- Partner with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions
- Focus on content production tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and workflows
- Assume ownership of technical issues and bring them to resolution
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of cinematic/games production experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
- Effective communication with different audiences (artists, engineers, managers)
- Proficient scripting/programming in Python or C# (C++ is a bonus)
- Experience with 2D/3D art packages such as Maya, Photoshop, Houdini
- Solutions-provider with experience in testing and debugging technical issues
- Experience with asset optimization challenges/techniques
- Willingness to learn and solve new problems
- Passion for games
