Senior Engineering Role - Guidewire PolicyCenter

We are seeking a senior engineering professional to lead the end-to-end technical delivery of complex Guidewire PolicyCenter initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading technical design for complex initiatives, performing impact assessments, and partnering with architects on design alternatives
• Developing and maintaining configurations, rules, integrations, and extensions, and enforcing best practices through code review
• Acting as technical point of contact for assigned domains, driving estimation, planning, and risk management, and mentoring developers and vendor resources
• Leading root cause analysis for complex incidents, driving monitoring and performance improvements, and ensuring logging, observability, and resilience standards are met
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and challenge gaps, and communicating risks and recommendations to leadership
• Mentoring engineers in development, integration, and system design, and supporting onboarding and knowledge sharing

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years of experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, and strong PolicyCenter depth
• Experience leading delivery initiatives
• Strong skills in Guidewire configuration, Gosu, Integration Framework, REST/SOAP, Java/J2EE, Spring, SQL/Oracle, batch/event-driven patterns, CI/CD, and performance tuning
• Guidewire Certified Specialist – PolicyCenter Configuration certification

The role requires strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to drive design decisions with limited oversight, identify and mitigate risk proactively, and coach engineers.
