Hardware Test Engineer

As a Hardware Test Engineer at Anduril, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's systems meet stringent testing standards, shipping high-quality products to customers. You will think creatively to solve complex testing problems, improve automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production, ensuring production test flow, and provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts.
• Resolve complex infrared systems issues found during testing.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream.
• Generate test work instructions for technician teams.
• Develop a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
• Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Contribute feedback to early-stage test design.
• Analyze test data and provide detailed reports.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages.
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience working on projects involving electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of infrared systems.
• Experience with cryogenic testing equipment.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, thermal chambers, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition, and measurement sensors.
• Experience with computer hardware communication protocols.
