Manager, Data Center Facilities

SpaceXAI is building one of the world's most demanding AI training campuses in Memphis, including Colossus and site facilities. We're seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee operation and maintenance of office and support buildings on the campus.

The successful candidate will lead an internal team and vendors to ensure building systems are in top condition, maintenance costs are kept down, and the campus reflects the company's standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team responsible for facilities maintenance, including building operations, janitorial, landscaping, and general maintenance.
• Oversee building HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, and electrical systems.
• Manage the work ticketing system to ensure correct staffing and timely response to break/fix requests.
• Manage third-party service providers to meet corporate standards and contract terms.
• Partner with the construction team to develop and execute site improvement projects.
• Administer preventive maintenance and break/fix programs for assigned buildings and grounds.
• Develop and implement on-call after-hours support for facility troubleshooting and emergency repairs.
• Coach and develop technicians to meet safety, quality, and response-time standards.
• Keep maintenance costs low and the appearance and function of assigned buildings at a high standard.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience with facilities engineering or project management.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing budgets, third-party vendors, and contracts.
• Experience with asset management or CMMS/work-order software.
• Knowledge of building management and automated facilities monitoring systems.
• High attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading technicians or trades in an office, industrial, or campus environment.
