Responsibilities
As a Production Supervisor-MP&L, you will:
- Coach safety, quality, and productivity to ensure objectives are met through standardized work
- Monitor and respond to andon occurrences as a secondary support
- Verify that the production line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts through Process Confirmation
- Support continuous improvement and coach problem resolution
- Communicate and recognize team members
- Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
- Create a conducive work environment for the team
- Oversee daily material handling functions for the facility and department
- Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock to production line feed location to delivery of finished product
- Provide direction and support for resource allocation for material handling responsibilities
- Support Ford Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices
- Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel
- Ensure flawless introduction of new parts to production
- Implement the Engineering Change Process effectively
- Identify and correct data gaps in CMMS
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Demonstrated leadership in One FORD behaviors with outstanding interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Management
- Body shop/stamping/subassembly or manufacturing assembly and machining experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Safety and MP&L experience
- Knowledge of constraint management principles
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
