- Staying close to users, gathering rapid feedback, monitoring usage, and using insights to drive iterations
- Balancing technical depth with pragmatism, knowing when deeper modelling work is necessary and when existing solutions suffice
- Writing production code, working directly in the product team's codebase
- Owning quality in production, building evaluations, monitoring performance, and investigating failures
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping ML-powered products
- Strong experience in PyTorch or equivalent frameworks like TensorFlow or JAX
- Applied-science depth, ability to fine-tune models, design evaluations, and debug training runs
- Pragmatic builder mindset, focusing on solving customer problems efficiently
- Product-minded, measuring success through shipped features, user behavior, and business outcomes
- Comfortable in production codebases, moving between experimentation and production engineering
- Strong ownership, taking ambiguous ML problems through to production
- Ability to iterate quickly, valuing short feedback loops and shipping useful features
- Curious and collaborative, explaining expertise and learning from others
- Fluent in English; French is not required
Nice to have:
- Experience shipping generative image models or diffusion models into production
- Evaluating third-party AI APIs against internal alternatives
- Working in a fast-growing startup or directly within a product team
