Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Director, Project Management to manage and provide technical guidance for projects across the US with our Urban Development and Transportation Teams.
The successful candidate will fulfill the role of a Senior Program Manager on complex urban development and transportation projects throughout the United States, leading multi-disciplinary project teams and providing technical leadership for various tasks, including planning, environmental documentation, community engagement, design, cost estimating, and entitlements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing client relationships and leading teams of advisors, planners, engineers, technical experts, and support staff
- Providing technical leadership for project tasks and ensuring production meets scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
- Interacting with clients, leading technical meetings, and supervising junior and mid-level staff
- Coordinating with various disciplines and experts, including roadway, transit, structures, and environmental specialists
- Preparing project reports, plans, specifications, and estimate bid packages
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- At least 15 years of experience in managing, planning, designing, and constructing infrastructure or development projects
- Strong commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills, with a deep understanding of general development principles
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work within a team environment
- Proven leadership skills, with the capacity to hold themselves accountable for project delivery and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel over 50% and within client offices
