Air Planning Associate

The Air Planning Associate role at Flexport involves managing air freight shipments, coordinating with partners and carriers, and ensuring smooth logistics operations.

Responsibilities:

Export Side:

• Manage charter flights and blocked space agreements with carriers and partners
• Optimize margins by consolidating shipments and meeting service levels
• Coordinate shipment movements and maintain accurate records
• Work with partners, air pricing teams, and operations to ensure timely deliveries
• Ensure compliance with airline regulations

Import Side:

• Coordinate clearance and de-consolidation of import shipments
• Interact with import partners to resolve exceptions

Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with the tech team to enhance the Flexport Air Planning Tool
• Handle customer inquiries and provide information on cargo services
• Troubleshoot issues and follow up on cargo status

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree and 2-3 years of experience in air freight forwarding or logistics
• Proven track record of success in an operational or planning role
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work outside office hours and occasional weekends or nights
