Strategic Account Executive

GitLab is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to own a portfolio of large and strategic customers and prospects in Germany. The successful candidate will help these customers get the most value from GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform, breaking into new enterprise accounts and expanding GitLab's footprint within existing customers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support GitLab's strategic accounts
• Manage the end-to-end sales process, engaging relevant resources such as Solutions Architects, Customer Success Managers, and Professional Services
• Leverage solution selling expertise to respond to customer needs and identify business potential
• Develop plans in anticipation of customers' business strategies and goals
• Expand knowledge of the industry and competitive posture of the company
• Contribute to root cause analysis on wins and losses
• Communicate lessons learned to the team
• Provide account leadership and direction in pre- and post-sales processes
• Conduct sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities in strategic accounts
• Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products
• Utilize a consultative approach to discuss business issues with prospects and develop formal quotes and sales proposals

Requirements:

• Experience selling into highly complex organisations
• Demonstrated consistent results and overachievement of quota
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience with solutions selling and positioning value to customers based on their needs
• Deep understanding of Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management
• Ability to use GitLab
• Ability to travel if needed and comply with the company's travel policy
