Instructional Aide

We are seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team at STEAM Academy of Warren. As an Instructional Aide, you will assist teachers with classroom activities, promote positive student behaviors, and help maintain a safe and positive school climate.

Responsibilities:

• Support lessons taught by teachers to individual students or groups
• Help plan classroom activities as directed by teachers
• Assist with school events and activities
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies
• Assist teachers in using classroom technology
• Maintain classroom cleanliness
• Implement the school's philosophy and mission statement
• Other duties as assigned

• Work cooperatively with teachers and others
• Follow directives from administrators and teachers
• Contribute to a positive school culture

Requirements:

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check
• Ability to meet educational standards
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Understanding of confidential information
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus
