Description
We are seeking an Information System Security Officer to support the Homeland Enterprise Information Technology Secure Services and Support (HEITS) Contract as part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Insider Threat Program (ITP).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing support for security engineering, integration, and deployment of security technology to support advanced external threat, insider threat, and cyber operations
- Resolving concerns or issues related to UAM components within 48 hours and acknowledging government requests within 1 hour during normal business hours
- Performing weekly vulnerability scans in support of FISMA requirements
- Coordinating with system owners, administrators, and ISSOs to notify them of weekly scanning and forwarding scan results to the ITP for analysis
- Supporting security assessments by defining scope, developing test plans, analyzing results, and preparing written reports with findings and recommendations
- Providing quarterly status updates on scan coverage and identifying issues with coverage
- Conducting ITP-directed vulnerability scans in support of operational matters
- Reviewing ongoing Authority to Operate (ATO), Authority to Connect (ATC), and Interim Authorization to Test (IATT)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documents, analyses, and reports
- Ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in IT Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience (6+ years) in Information Assurance Management
- Security+ or similar certification
- Extensive experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD-503
- Experience supporting security accreditation activities within the Intelligence Community
The pay range for this position is $107,900.00 - $195,050.00.
