Description

Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human

Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organisations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.

This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Program Manager for the Productivity Engineering team at Okta, you will be at the heart of driving strategic business programs, bridging the gap between high-level business strategy, technology execution, and organisational goals. Your primary focus will be leading end-to-end program lifecycles, managing cross-functional delivery, and optimising performance across the entire enterprise portfolio.

In this role, you will actively lead cross-functional program management initiatives, define core project requirements, and drive complex strategic programs to timely completion. You will align key program metrics with leadership objectives, oversee portfolio health, and support secondary operational areas such as productivity tooling and SaaS license oversight where needed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead complex, multi-stream programs and projects from initiation through execution and delivery, ensuring clear scope alignment, timeline tracking, and milestone achievements.
  • Oversee the overall project portfolio, maintaining roadmap visibility, aligning resources, and balancing business priorities across cross-functional teams.
  • Define and track core program performance metrics, key health indicators, and business ROI, presenting executive dashboards and status updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, engineering teams, and global stakeholders to gather strategic requirements, resolve trade-offs, and drive enterprise alignment.
  • Proactively identify program bottlenecks, dependencies, and risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure predictable program delivery.
  • Establish robust program governance framework, standardise delivery methodologies, and streamline execution workflows across global teams.
  • Drive change management, communication plans, and training programs for newly rolled-out enterprise initiatives to maximise user adoption and operational success.
  • Support partner functions including Procurement, Finance, and Security with contract reviews, resource optimisation, and operational compliance as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for strategic program roadblocks, scope changes, and executive alignment.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • 5+ years of experience leading complex strategic programs or PMO portfolios in enterprise IT, SaaS, or high-growth technology environments.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end program delivery, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and multi-stream project roadmaps.
  • High proficiency in tracking program KPIs, performance dashboards, and executive reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Tableau, Power BI, Excel/Sheets) to support decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead alignment and use persuasion to align senior business partners and external vendors on new processes and business impacts.
  • Deep experience with project and program management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and PPM/ITSM tooling (Jira, ServiceNow, Asana).
  • Proven experience working autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting a distributed, global company across time zones (particularly US hubs).

License Management, Renewals & Automation

  • Oversee enterprise SaaS applications, monitoring seat utilisation, provisioning metrics, and deployment health to optimise software spend.
  • Partner with Procurement and IT leadership to manage renewal timelines, evaluate vendor commitments, and align contract terms with operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate license request workflows, deprovisioning processes, and compliance tracking using enterprise orchestration tools.

Why Join

  • Directly shape and execute core business programs that influence global strategy and organisational efficiency.
  • Work with the latest from Google's AI suite (Gemini) as well as other AI tools, functionality, and workflow automation.
  • Join a collaborative, high-caliber global team that values operational excellence, strategic innovation, and continuous personal and professional development.
