Test Developer, Automation

Ford of Canada is seeking a Test Developer, Automation to join their team in Ottawa, ON, Canada. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering vehicle software platforms for the latest vehicle technologies, focusing on developing automated stress and endurance test tools, libraries, and scripts.

The role involves:

• Analyzing product requirements and interfacing with development and test teams
• Collaborating cross-functionally to design test plans and setups for software solutions
• Developing test automation using Python, including stress, soak, and stability test frameworks
• Designing and executing stress tests to evaluate system performance and resource utilization
• Triaging and analyzing test failures and performance degradation
• Contributing to agile scrum development sprints

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in test automation and tools development
• 3+ years of experience in Python development and object-oriented design
• 3+ years of experience in testing on embedded systems

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with resource monitoring, load generation, and fault injection techniques for embedded systems, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $146,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in the Annual Compensation bonus program.
