PM Dishwasher ($18/hr) - Naisho Room

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PM Dishwasher to join our team at Naisho Room in Tysons, Virginia. As a PM Dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishware and equipment, as well as completing general routine cleaning tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by adhering to high standards of quality and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the dish machine, ensuring minimum temperature requirements are met, and clean the dishwasher regularly.
• Change water based on usage and clean curtains and traps.
• Air dry dishes as needed to prevent spots and ensure proper storage.
• Inspect dishes being washed and re-wash as necessary.
• Remove trash, break down boxes, and maintain floors.
• Complete deep cleaning projects, including quarterly power sprays of the kitchen.
• Assist with cleaning other areas, such as the associate break room.
• Anticipate and respond to varying levels of business to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
• Assist team members within and outside the department to ensure guest needs are met.
• Use equipment properly and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
• Monitor use of dishwashing and cleaning chemicals to reduce costs.
• Help reduce breakage during washing and storage processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Operate all equipment following safe and proper procedures.
• Follow company procedures for guest/associate incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
• Produce the required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
• Adhere to company attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures.
• Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
• Assist with plating for banquet events, food preparation, and production assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Some high school coursework required.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to perform job duties in a repetitive and fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Ability to complete physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and moving about the dish room continuously throughout the shift.
• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
