Description
Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees.
You will participate or lead individual audits to ensure that the scope, approach, resourcing, and logistics of an audit are appropriately planned and executed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing individual audits in line with internal requirements and timelines
- Drafting audit findings that articulate key issues and risks and propose root causes based on audit fieldwork
- Identifying business process improvements for areas audited
- Ensuring that the results of the work and ad hoc assignments performed by the team meet the expectations of audit and business management and the regulators
- Maintaining consistent interaction with business management
- Maintaining HSBC internal control standards, implementing and observing Group Compliance Policy, and maintaining awareness of operational risk
To be successful in the role, you should have:
- Proven and progressive audit, business, risk management, and/or accounting experience or equivalent
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Good understanding of the business, risks, accounting, and related controls within areas of responsibility
- Knowledge of Data Analytics and ability to apply technology or expertise to business issues or operational problems (desirable)
- Good managerial skills, written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem-solving, organisational, lateral thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork spirit and good commitment to the work
- Broad knowledge of the Company, Group, and financial services industry, business supported, and the regulatory framework they operate in
- Ideally hold role-relevant qualifications
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
