Engine Build Mechanic

As an Engine Build Mechanic at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany, you will be part of a team creating high-performance powertrains for Formula 1.

Your mission involves independently assembling, maintaining, and disassembling Formula 1 engines, performing inspections, and examining engine components.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, maintain, and disassemble Formula 1 engines
• Perform inspections of high-performance sports engines and individual engine components
• Examine, measure, assess, document, and evaluate engine components
• Independently perform and document repair and conversion work on high-performance sports engines
• Perform mechanical work and produce assemblies according to drawing specifications
• Manage SAP data entry and transaction processing for internal combustion engines
• Collaborate with the design team on continuous improvement processes

Requirements:

• Training as a car mechanic or mechatronics technician
• Further education as a technician or master tradesperson is desirable
• Several years of professional experience as a racing-car-engine mechanic
• Experience with Office products, PCs, engine repair, and motorsports
• In-depth knowledge of racing-car engine structure, engine technology, and drive-system expertise
• Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility
• Independent and structured working practices
• High degree of commitment, initiative, and strong communication skills
• Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn the other language
