System Engineer, ModSim, Joint Simulation Environment (JSE)

We are working on cutting-edge autonomous airpower systems that need to operate in the most demanding environments.

You will be part of a Systems Engineering team that guides Digital Engineering strategy and complements our Mission Software Engineering, Product Engineering, and Business Development teams.

Responsibilities

• Red-team designs, models, and analyses across a program
• Build models and simulations needed to prove or break a claim
• Work as a systems engineer to support Program Management, Mission Software Engineers, and Operations Analysts
• Communicate complex results, including strong visual presentation of data, to engineers, leadership, and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science or similar engineering or technical field
• 2+ years Systems Engineering Experience across the life cycle
• Experience with MODSIM environments like AFSIM or JSE
• Understanding of underlying MODSIM environment interfaces and behaviors
• Experience with requirements analysis and system design in a government context
• Proficiency with writing and owning systems-level requirements
• Strong engineering background in a relevant field (Aerospace, Dynamics & Controls, GNC, Systems, or similar)
• Experience with Systems Engineering, Requirements Elicitation and Management, Integration, and Test Activities on complex systems - DoD Weapon Systems, Space Systems, etc...
• Experience with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar
• Experience developing various model based system engineering artifacts - Operational Viewpoints, System Viewpoints, activity diagrams, use case diagrams, BDDs, IBDs, parametric diagrams, etc...
• Experience with Cameo MagicDraw or similar systems engineering software (Rhapsody, SparxEA, etc...)
• Outstanding communication skills, including visual presentation of complex data

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on track record of both designing/building and analyzing real engineering systems , not analysis-only
• Demonstrated ability to find problems others miss: failure analysis, adversarial review, independent verification, or equivalent
• Proven track record of independently owning and executing deliverables with little to no management
• Proficiency with physics-math scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Python + numpy/scipy)
