Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist - Acute Care, PRN, to join our team at Advocate Sherman Hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in the acute care setting, working with patients to help them recover from illness or injury.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience practicing in the acute care setting and be highly skilled in interpreting physician referrals, completing evaluations, and establishing plans of care. You will also be proficient in using EPIC EMR, although prior experience is not required.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret physician referrals and complete evaluations
- Establish plans of care and implement individual treatment
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve optimum patient care
- Complete all required documentation and maintain accurate records
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to quality of care initiatives
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Intermediate computer skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk throughout the workday

Schedule Details:
- Part-time position with variable shifts
- Must be available to work a minimum of 2 weekend day shifts per month
- Must be available to work one summer and one winter holiday or weekend around a holiday
