Editor, Politics (Enterprise)

Axios is seeking a Politics Enterprise Editor to help set the agenda for its political coverage and deliver high-impact journalism.

In this role, you'll generate distinctive enterprise ideas, work with reporters to turn them into stories, and connect the dots across beats and teams.

Responsibilities:

• Generate distinctive enterprise ideas and work with reporters to turn them into stories that break through.
• Work across the politics team and the newsroom to connect the dots between beats and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Requirements:

• Reporting experience in a fast-paced news environment.
• Demonstrated experience landing big scoops and conceptualizing big ideas.
• Strong writing skills for online and newsletters.
• Belief in Smart Brevity as the core writing style of Axios.
• Commitment to building and nurturing a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Ability to command a stage and conduct live interviews.
• Experience working across teams to produce quality content.

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
