We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence.
As a Full Stack Developer at Barclays, you will design, develop, and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
- Participating in code reviews and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
- Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations and contributing to the organisation's technology communities
- Adhering to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implementing effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability
As an Assistant Vice President, you will be expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Experience with back-end technologies such as Java, SpringBoot, Junit, Rest, MicroServices TDD
- Knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL – Oracle / Mongo
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools such as PaaS Openshift / K8S, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma, and Wiz
- Understanding of message queues like Apache Kafka, IBM MQ
- Experience with Rapid Application Development using AI models like Claude, GitLab Duo
- Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, Object-Oriented Design, and Data Structures
