Description
Syneos Health is seeking a Medical Scientist to join their team in Shanghai.
The successful candidate will work with the Medical Director to develop medical plans, perform medical reviews of data, and author medical data queries.
Responsibilities:
- Develop medical plans, including Medical Management Plans, Medical Data Review Plans, and Eligibility Review Plans
- Engage with outside experts to coordinate acquisition of necessary medical/scientific input
- Perform regular and ad-hoc medical reviews of data listings and data visualization
- Analyze data to identify risks and data patterns/trends
- Author medical data queries and review query responses
- Approve query closure in association with Medical Director
- Manage project scope of work, objectives, and quality of deliverables
- Collaborate with study team members, including Clinical Operations, Data Management, and Project Management
- Attend Trusted Process meetings and participate in internal and external audits
Requirements:
- Degree in life sciences (MSc, PharmD, PhD, DMD, MD) or equivalent
- Relevant scientific experience and/or training discipline
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot situations and escalate issues to leadership
- Understanding of scientific principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Knowledge of drug development and ICH/GCP guidelines preferred
