The Third-Party Buyer is responsible for managing and developing the European third-party manufacturing and tolling supplier portfolio. This role ensures the availability and continuity of third-party manufacturing capacity and services required to support Valvoline Europe's business growth, while ensuring competitive commercial conditions, supplier performance and alignment with business requirements.
Job Accountabilities
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities related to third-party manufacturing and tolling suppliers across Europe.
- Support development and implementation of European third-party procurement strategy.
- Manage supplier relationships and act as key Procurement contact for assigned tolling portfolio.
- Lead commercial negotiations and support implementation of competitive and sustainable commercial agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance, capacity, cost and service levels, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure business continuity and availability of third-party manufacturing capacity.
- Support onboarding and qualification of new third-party suppliers in line with business requirements and procurement policies.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- Contribute to development of third-party manufacturing network as category continues to grow in strategic importance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across Europe.
Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities/Competencies desired
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement, preferably in multinational or international environment.
- Experience in supplier management and commercial negotiations.
- Experience with third-party manufacturing, tolling, contract manufacturing or supply chain services is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with ability to understand cost structures and identify value opportunities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset, with ambition to develop within Procurement.
- Strong team player with ability to work across functions and geographies.
- Willingness to travel as required for business.
