  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across multiple functions, locations or business areas.
  • Demonstrable experience analysing complex information and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project, portfolio or reporting tools is desirable.
  • Experience in financial services, banking or a highly regulated environment is desirable.
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, P3O or equivalent, is desirable.

Programme and Portfolio Governance

  • Establish and maintain appropriate governance structures, controls and reporting routines for programmes and portfolios.
  • Coordinate programme governance forums, including preparation of agendas, papers, minutes, actions and decision logs.
  • Ensure that programme documentation is complete, current and aligned with HSBC standards.
  • Monitor adherence to agreed delivery methodology, governance requirements and control frameworks.
  • Support the preparation of executive-level updates and portfolio reviews.

Planning and Delivery Management

  • Identify slippage, delivery risks and cross-team dependencies, escalating matters through the appropriate channels.
  • Coordinate planning activities across technology, business, operations, risk, finance and other control functions.
  • Support programme mobilisation, delivery transitions, closure and lessons-learned activities.

Risk, Issue and Dependency Management

  • Maintain programme-level RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
  • Facilitate regular reviews with workstream leads and ensure actions have clear owners and due dates.
  • Assess the potential impact of risks and issues on delivery, customers, colleagues, controls and regulatory commitments.
  • Escalate material concerns in a timely and concise manner, with practical recommendations.
  • Track mitigation plans through to completion and challenge overdue or ineffective actions.

Financial and Resource Management

  • Support budget planning, forecasting, tracking and variance analysis.
  • Monitor vendor, supplier and external resource costs where applicable.
  • Coordinate resource planning across workstreams and identify capacity or capability gaps.
  • Provide accurate financial and resource information for governance meetings and management decisions.

  • Produce clear, accurate and insightful status reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Consolidate data from multiple workstreams and validate key information before publication.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs and delivery metrics.

  • Ensure reporting is tailored to the audience, from detailed working-level information to concise executive summaries.

Stakeholder and Team Collaboration

  • Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery teams across business and technology functions.
  • Coordinate cross-boundary activities and promote consistent ways of working.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to resolve planning, governance and delivery matters.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to PMO analysts and less experienced colleagues.
