We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build innovative solutions on the web for Toast Local, our consumer-facing digital dining product.
You'll join a team of frontend, backend, and native mobile engineers working together to create the best digital restaurant experience for guests.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team's work on the web, from guest-facing features to restaurant tools
- Build cross-platform experiences with iOS, Android, and backend engineers
- Work across the stack, from React and Next.js to backend services
- Experiment with guests and restaurants to test new dining experiences
- Ship code driving Toast's consumer business growth and strategy
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Strong frontend experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- Backend experience with GraphQL or REST APIs, Kotlin or Java
- Ownership of work from start to finish, including shipping, launching, and analyzing results
- A point of view on consumer products and a desire to shape what gets built
- Proven track record of leading technical projects with cross-team impact
Nice to Haves
- Experience with native frontend development for iOS or Android
- Experience with AI tools
