In this position, you will be responsible for Design and Release Engineering for Frame, Mounts, Spare Tire Winches, and/or Tow Hooks, with a focus on forward model development, release, and through launch.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and releasing engineering for frame, mounts, spare tire winches, and tow hooks
• Ensuring robust designs and failure mode avoidance using engineering disciplines such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Perfect Drawing Plan, and Engineering Specifications
• Leading design efforts to meet vehicle attributes including package, crash, durability, commercial upfitting, and thermal management
• Delivering prototype builds, PPAP, and production launch on time with quality
• Resolving durability, assembly, and functional issues
• Coaching, mentoring, and guiding peer engineers
• Delivering material cost reduction, warranty reduction, and benchmarking

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience manufacturing and developing metal components and structure
• Experience in using CAD/CAE tools and ability to optimize tool designs for stamping, welding, and sheet metal
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience manufacturing and developing metal components and structure
• CAD/CAE capable engineer with experience in 3DX, Catia, Teamcenter, stack-up tools, fastener health chart, GDT
• PPAP launch experience
• 3 years' experience in frames or structures Design and Release
