Instructional Aide

We are seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team at Capital City Sports Academy, a public charter school serving EK-8 students in Southeast Columbus. As an Instructional Aide, you will assist teachers with classroom activities, promote positive student behaviors, and help maintain a safe and positive school climate.

Responsibilities:

• Support lessons taught by teachers to individual students or groups
• Help plan classroom activities as directed by teachers
• Assist with school events, such as parent-faculty nights and assemblies
• Perform clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies
• Assist teachers with classroom technology
• Maintain classroom cleanliness
• Implement the school's philosophy and mission statement
• Other duties as assigned

• Work cooperatively with teachers and others
• Follow directives from administrators and teachers
• Contribute to a positive school culture

Requirements:

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check
• Ability to meet educational standards
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus
