Description
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will primarily work from home and partner with SRE, architecture, and application teams to implement security best practices and secure-by-design principles in the cloud.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, prioritizing, and improving security initiatives to mitigate risks towards HPE networking cloud environments and assets.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery of cloud security engagements.
- Monitoring and improving cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Supporting compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives.
- Representing the security engineering team in various technical forums and providing guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.
- Typically, 7-10 years of experience.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
- Experience securing at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP), Kubernetes and related cloud technologies.
- Experience with compliance and audit frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST SSDF, and CIS Benchmarks.
