Occupational/Employee Health Nurse

Join a highly motivated team at UNC Rex Hospital as an Occupational/Employee Health Nurse. This role supports the health, safety, and well-being of employees. Responsibilities include reviewing immunizations, administering vaccines, conducting health screenings, triaging workplace injuries, managing exposures, and providing education on occupational health and safety.

The ideal candidate will have clinic or urgent care experience and be able to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment. Key responsibilities:

• Review immunizations for compliance
• Administer vaccines and medications
• Conduct employee health screenings
• Triage workplace injuries
• Manage workplace exposures and coordinate follow-up care
• Support return-to-work and work-restriction processes
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records
• Provide education on occupational health and safety
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Infection Prevention, Risk Management, Safety, and clinical leadership

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
• BLS required
• Two years of hands-on clinical nursing experience
• Knowledge of epidemiology/infection control, toxicology, industrial and environmental hygiene
