Backend Engineer III

As a Backend Engineer III at Monzo, you will be part of a team of around 650 engineers designing and building our in-house banking platform.

Responsibilities:

• You will work on building and maintaining our backend technology products
• You will be involved in solving problems and changing lives through Monzo's products
• You will collaborate across disciplines to tackle interesting challenges throughout the company

Requirements:

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product
• Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions
• Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software
• Experience with strongly-typed languages such as Go, Java, C, Scala etc.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Go, Cassandra, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Envoy Proxy, AWS, GCP, React
