The EA SPORTS FC franchise is the world's #1 best-selling video game, with over 200 million engaged players across multiple platforms. As a Systems Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in pushing the primary systems and shared engine into the future.
You will work in a hybrid model, 3 days a week out of the EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia (Tuesday to Thursday). Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with design and other engineers to provide feedback and create clear and estimable technical designs
- Providing tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet requirements
- Being aware of how technical implementation impacts performance and memory budgets
- Looking for ways to increase team efficiency through tooling or workflow enhancements
- Contributing to core EA technologies in an architecturally sound way to promote collaborative development efforts
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with the development craft and an interest in systems-level work
- Understanding of C++ language, best practices, and architectural considerations
- Excellent communication skills with non-technical partners, such as artists, designers, and producers
- Experience with parallel programming considerations, resource management, and hardware architecture
- 5+ years of programming experience with a focus on C++ code
- Experience with performance and memory profiling tools
- Experience in embedded systems
