Strategy & Operations, FDE

Job Overview

We're hiring a Strategy & Operations Lead for Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) at Anthropic. You'll be the strategy partner to FDE leadership, owning plans, headcount, capacity, and engagement pricing.

Responsibilities

• Develop FDE's annual and quarterly plans, including headcount, capacity, and work mix.
• Model demand and capacity, creating scenarios for leadership decisions.
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, setting KPIs and owning the scorecard.
• Build reporting with Revenue Operations and Data Science to track engagement outcomes.
• Partner with Finance, Deal Desk, and Legal on commercial model development.
• Scale work through partners, determining which engagements they own or co-deliver.
• Design the FDE organization as it grows.
• Lead cross-functional projects and automate tasks with Claude.

Requirements

• Experience in strategy and operations, business operations, or consulting.
• Understanding of a services business's financials, including utilization and margin.
• Ability to build capacity models and explain assumptions.
• Experience with planning cycles and business reviews.
• Strong influencing skills with senior leaders.
• Comfort working with imperfect data and AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years in GTM strategy and operations or consulting.
• Experience building a professional services team's operations during rapid growth.
• Background in services pricing and deal terms.
• Experience with delivery partner programs and consumption-based businesses.
• Technical fluency to discuss LLM applications with engineers.

Logistics

• Annual salary: $270,000 - $310,000 USD.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Hybrid work policy requiring at least 25% office time.
• Visa sponsorship available.
