Cleaning/Waste Operative

ABM Facility Services UK are looking for Cleaning/Waste Operatives on a contract basis for a high-profile client in the Wynyard area.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment providing janitorial and waste removal services.

Main duties include:

• Providing a high janitorial service internally and externally in various areas
• Handling waste generated on site via approved waste streams
• Using walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment
• Responding to spillages and callouts from the client's on-site team
• Communicating effectively with the team and line manager
• Wearing protective clothing and complying with Health & Safety legislation

Requirements:

• Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Physically fit
