Key Responsibilities

• Provide a positive dining experience for every guest by applying Brand and Service Excellence standards, courteously assisting guests during food and beverage service.
• Ensure proper set-up and presentation of the assigned service area, maintain and restock the area in accordance with company standards.
• Deliver food and beverages service as requested, in a timely manner, in the correct order, and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation.
• Ensure service procedures are followed during meal times, including clearing and cleaning tables according to brand standards.
• Demonstrate to each guest that their satisfaction is the top priority by promptly acknowledging every request, reporting issues to management as appropriate, responding promptly and effectively to resolve any service request or concern, and following up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Minimum of one year of fine dining experience as a Waiter and Jr. Waiter; cruise ship experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Alternatively, candidates must have experience in a large hotel/resort.
• Good knowledge of fine dining service standards and international cuisine; basic knowledge of wine is also required.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of guest service and the ability and willingness to provide outstanding service to guests.
• Motivation to excel in all aspects of the role.
• Personable communicator with excellent social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
• Ability to consistently surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience.
• Commitment to establishing and maintaining courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
