Senior OBD Calibration Engineer

We are seeking a Senior OBD Calibration Engineer to join our team at AVL List Technical Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

As a Senior OBD Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for independent calibration and planning of OBD diagnostics testing in conventional, PHEV, and HEV vehicles. You will also have the opportunity to work across a broad range of OBDII/EOBD monitors, including catalyst monitoring, O2 sensor, misfire, and more.

Key responsibilities include:

• Independent calibration and planning of OBD diagnostics testing
• Developing and improving analytical methods and tools using Matlab or Python
• Coordinating OBD with other contribution parties and calibrators in projects
• Training new staff and participating in technical discussions with customers

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's or above degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
• Several years of related professional experience in gasoline engine combustion application or function development, calibration gasoline engines, or their exhaust aftertreatment functions
• In-depth knowledge of OBDII monitoring systems and emissions for China or EU regulations
• Proficiency in applying tools to solve analytical analysis in OBD using Matlab or Python
• Strong communication and leadership skills
