Description
As part of the Packaging Development team, the Packaging Development Manager will play an active role in driving the project management of all packaging related projects including NPD, EPD and value engineering packaging to ensure they are delivered within spec, time and budget.
The Packaging Development Manager will come from a packaging development background and have a passion for creating innovative, sustainable and amazing looking packaging both in terms of materials and production optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and tooling development of new primary and secondary packs
- Managing the development of primary and secondary packaging in line with CPAs
- Managing artwork process from copy brief through to finished artwork
- Supporting CPA management to ensure finished goods and packaging project CPAs are aligned
- Working closely with Engineering and Quality on pack testing and standards
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with external pack suppliers and contract manufacturers
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, self-driven, and have excellent communication skills. They will be technically strong in packaging development and have a passion for the artwork process with excellent attention to detail.
