As a Harness Manufacturing Intern, you will support the design, build, and continuous improvement of wire harness and cable assembly processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing engineers with process documentation and work instruction review
- Assist with wire harness and cable assembly builds, including cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and lacing
- Participate in quality inspections
- Help analyze manufacturing issues such as defects, rework, and throughput constraints
- Assist with equipment qualification, tooling and fixture improvements, and test setups
- Support DFM/DFA feedback to engineering teams
- Collect and review production data for process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation
- Must be onsite 5 days a week
