As a Business Manager - Risk Foundations (ERM) at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges.
You will team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line.
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is the center of risk management for the company, covering all categories of risk, governing policies and standards, risk assessments, and issue and event management.
Your role will involve shaping complex analysis and reporting into actionable insight for executive leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One
- Lead and develop 1-2 analysts, with a goal of developing and retaining talent
- Drive step-change improvements in risk management by testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy
- Work closely with colleagues across the Risk Organization and businesses to measure, analyze, and drive risk management outcomes
- Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long-term goals
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field)
- Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in analysis
- 2+ years of experience in financial services
- 1+ year of experience in consulting
- 2+ years of experience in people management
Salary: McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 per year Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 per year
