As a Senior Associate, Data Scientist on the Business Cards Marketing Data Science team at Capital One, you will partner with a cross-functional team to deliver products customers love. You will leverage a broad stack of technologies, including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark, to reveal insights hidden within huge volumes of data.
The team uses cutting-edge machine learning models and statistical methods to understand customer behavior and optimize marketing campaigns. You will build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
The ideal candidate is innovative, creative, technical, statistically-minded, and a data guru. You should be comfortable with open-source languages and have hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of experience performing data analytics, or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM field, experience working with AWS, and at least 2 years of experience with Python, Scala, or R, machine learning, and SQL.
The salary range for this role in New York, NY is $148,000 - $168,900 per year. The role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation.
