Multi Skilled Journalist

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our team at WTSP-TV Tampa, a CBS affiliate owned by TEGNA. As a creative storyteller, you will create unique, memorable, and well-written stories, sharing them on all platforms with outstanding photography and editing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform live shots in developing or breaking news situations
• Develop story ideas and find sources
• Identify, write, and produce stories within a specific framework
• Research facts and maintain sources
• Shoot, write, produce, and edit on-air and online content within deadlines
• Use creative production techniques and social media to enhance and distribute stories
• Attend editorial meetings and offer story ideas daily

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of reporting experience preferred
• Solid news judgment, strong communication skills, creativity, and ethical decision-making skills
• Strong writing, production, and tease writing abilities
• Experience with ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics preferred
• Ability to work under constant deadlines and handle live breaking news situations
• Proven social and digital content creation ability
• Knowledge of Tampa a plus
