Lead Features Designer

Electronic Arts is seeking a Lead Features Designer to join their team at Playdemic, a BAFTA Award-winning developer and publisher of mobile games. As a Lead Features Designer, you will lead the feature design team and drive the design of new features and systems for Golf Clash, a globally successful game enjoyed by millions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product management team to drive ideation of new features and systems.
• Lead the design and development of features from concept through launch and iteration.
• Define clear design objectives, player value, and success criteria for features.
• Create and maintain clear, efficient, and legible feature documentation.
• Guide feature development through implementation, collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Review and provide feedback on design output within the feature design team.
• Support and mentor designers within the team.
• Help prioritize feature development in collaboration with product management and production.
• Use player behavior, feedback, and data insights to evaluate feature performance.
• Help establish and maintain strong design practices across the feature team.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a game development studio.
• Experience working on live games with a proven track record of owning and delivering multiple features or systems.
• Strong experience designing features and systems for mobile free-to-play live service games.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or guiding other designers.
• Strong experience designing and balancing game systems and economies.
• Strong understanding of analytics, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Technical skills and knowledge of game development tools including Confluence and JIRA.
• Strong communication skills.
