Strategic Projects Lead, Recruiting

Job Overview

We're seeking a Strategic Projects Lead to oversee recruiting's complex, cross-functional initiatives. You'll provide structure, coordination, and follow-through to ensure these projects are completed effectively as the company scales.

You'll collaborate with various teams involved in hiring, influencing decisions without owning teams or systems. Success relies on building trust with senior stakeholders and creating effective systems.

This high-autonomy role suits someone who thrives in complexity and ambiguity, with expertise in recruiting and the ability to handle multiple problems simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and test recruiting's most complex initiatives, ensuring they're principled, well-documented, and coherent over time
• Coordinate across teams to plan, review, and decide on recruiting strategies
• Identify and resolve systemic issues in recruiting processes
• Design and implement processes for company-wide changes affecting recruiting
• Lead headcount and workforce planning, including hiring pace and regional readiness
• Establish and maintain operating standards for interviewing and analytics

Minimum Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in program management, business operations, or people/talent roles at a fast-growing company
• Experience in talent teams or close collaboration with them
• Ability to think in systems, anticipate downstream effects, and design solutions
• Experience managing complex workstreams and making prioritization decisions
• Strategic thinking and vision-setting abilities
• Experience with AI in real-world workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in global recruiting or talent operations
• Background in deep-tech environments with technical recruiting complexity
• Experience operating across multiple time zones and jurisdictions

Logistics

• Annual salary: $235,000 - $300,000 USD
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Location-based hybrid policy: 25% office time
